Community Guidelines

How this place works, and what gets you removed
This is a working draft. It is being reviewed by an attorney before Barely Zipped opens to the public. The rules below are what we intend to enforce, and we will enforce them from day one either way.

The short version

Be a person. Ask first. Take no for an answer. Everything else is detail.

Adults only, 18+

Nobody under 18 may join, appear in any content, or be referenced sexually. Your date of birth is checked when you sign up and the rule is enforced by our database, not by good intentions. Any content involving a minor is removed and reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. There is no warning and no appeal.

Consent is the whole point

Privacy is not optional here

Many members are not open about this part of their lives, and that choice is theirs.

How people get treated

What cannot be posted

Commercial activity

Link your business if you are genuinely part of the community. Do not join purely to advertise. New accounts cannot post links. Selling opens up once your account is established, and every listing is reviewed.

What happens when you break these

Depending on severity: a warning, content removal, a temporary hold, or removal from the site. Serious violations skip straight to the end. Every report gets a status you can see, so you will not be left wondering whether anyone looked at it.

Reporting

Everything on this site is reportable in one click. Reports from established members carry extra weight, and filing a report that turns out to be right improves your standing here.

It works the other way too. Reporting somebody because they annoyed you, turned you down, or disagreed with you is not reporting — it wastes the time we would rather spend on people who are actually a problem, and it costs you standing. Getting it wrong once is free. Nobody should hesitate over a report because they are not certain, and we would far rather look at ten things that turn out to be nothing than miss the one that was not. But a pattern of reports that go nowhere starts working against you.
